Foreign investors have invested in the economy of Ukraine last year 4.406 billion dollars. Of direct investments (share capital), which is $ 642 million, or 17.1%, more than the figure for 2015.

This is stated in a State Statistics Statement.

According to the data, in 2016, investments came from 77 countries of the world, with the main investors, which accounted for almost 70% of the total investment, were Russia — 1.667 billion dollars, Cyprus — 427.7 million dollars, the United Kingdom — $ 403.9 million, the Netherlands — $ 255 million. And Austria — 249.9 million dollars.

The largest volumes of direct investments were directed to financial and insurance activities — 2.825 billion dollars, trade and repair of motor vehicles — 524.9 million dollars. And industry — 475.2 million dollars.
